Gardai at Killaloe are investigating the incident
Witnesses are being sought after the front gates of a property in east Clare were damaged but a high-powered car which was trying to gain access.
Gardaí in Killaloe are investigating the incident of criminal damage that occurred in the Gortnagonella area of Broadford shortly after 4am last Thursday - March 13.
"A vehicle similar to a Volkswagen Tiguan, dark in colour, damaged the front gates of the property and attempted to gain access to the property," said crime prevention officer Sergeant Catriona Holohan.
Investigating gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have observed any suspicious activity in the Gortnagonella area or a vehicle similar to a Volkswagen Tiguan in the area on Thursday morning or the days prior to that.

"If you did or if you have any CCTV footage or dash cam footage that could assist the investigation, please contact Killaloe garda station on 061 620540 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111," added Sgt Holohan.
Investigations are ongoing.
