Gardai are appealing for information following the theft of a high-powered car from outside a private residence close to the village of Tulla.

The black BMW 520 was stolen in the Affick area sometime between 4pm last Saturday and 9am on Sunday.  

"This vehicle was subsequently located on Sunday morning in the Kilmore area of Tulla, approximately 30 kms from where it was stolen," said crime prevention officer, Sergeant Catriona Holohan.

Gardaí in Tulla are appealing to anyone who may have observed the vehicle being driven between the Affick area and the Kilmore area of Tulla on Saturday night or Sunday morning to contact them.

"Bear in mind, the driver of the stolen vehicle may have driven via O'Callaghan Mills and Broadford or they could have gone via Kilkishin and Sixmilebridge," added Sgt Holohan.
