Gardaí in west Clare appeal for witnesses after 'distressing' burglary

Milltown Malbay Gardai are appealing to the public for their assistance in following a "distressing" robbery.

The incident took place in Coore, Milltown Malbay last Wednesday evening, October 3, just after 9pm.

The injured party was at home when two males came to the door.

A distressing ordeal followed and the perpetrators fled the scene in their vehicle.

"This was a distressing experience from the homeowner," said Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Catriona Holohan.

"We are appealing to anyone that was in the Coore area, between Milltown Malbay and The Hand to think back to last Wednesday night.

"Did you see a vehicle in the area, do you have CCTV or a Dash-Camera on your vehicle.

"If you have any information, please contact Milltown Malbay Garda Station on 065 7084222," she said.
