Gardai are renewing their appeal for information and witnesses following a burglary, which occurred in broad daylight, in Ennis earlier this month.
A property at Cusack Road in the town was entered at around 4.15pm on Wednesday, May 16.
A garda spokesperson has confirmed that having been alerted to the incident, officers responded and that a male, aged in his 50s, was arrested at the scene.
"He was detained at Ennis garda station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and was later charged and brought before Ennis District Court," said the spokesperson.

As the matter is now before the courts, gardai have not publicly disclosed any further information regarding the incident or the defendant who has now been charged.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
