Closing date for applications for Clare Culture Night 2023

CLARE County Council are inviting artists of all disciplines to apply for funding for Culture Night 2023.
Coordinated by Clare Arts Office, the council are inviting groups, schools and organisations to hold events and be included in a national and county programme of events for Culture Night, which will take place September 22.
Culture Night is an annual event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts, and allows organisations across the country to open their doors until late with hundreds of free events.
The night is an opportunity to showcase unique cultural events such as exhibitions, classes, workshops, cultural trails and treasure hunts, live performances, walking tours, film screenings, book readings and storytelling.
In selecting events for inclusion, Clare County Council are looking for events that take place throughout the evening (start times between 6 and 11pm), particularly those that run later in the night in order to extend the Culture Night experience, and that actively target those who may not normally have easy access to cultural events and that diversify the cultural offering to attract and reach new audiences.
Events that make Culture Night visible in the county by using unlikely venues or public settings, such as outdoor spaces, community halls and libraries, will be prioritised over those events taking place in commercial venues.
In particular, events that support the making or sharing or performing of work by artists based in Clare and that encourage participation in a new part of Co Clare are also encouraged to apply for funding.
The closing date for applications is Friday July 7. For more information on conditions of funding and to submit an application, visit yoursay.clarecoco.ie
