Pressed Flowers by Nell is one of only five finalists and the only business from Munster

Clare entrepreneur and founder of Pressed Flowers by Nell, Nell Stritch, has been selected as a finalist in The Pitch ’24, an initiative led by Brown Thomas Arnotts to support local talent and champion Irish businesses.

Nell Stritch will showcase her exclusive pressed flower artwork at the renowned Arnotts Christmas Market from November 14th through early January 2024.

Nell is one of only five finalists, and the only business from Munster, chosen from over 200 applicants. The Pitch ’24 campaign, now in its fourth year, calls on Irish start-ups and entrepreneurs to pitch for the chance to be mentored by industry experts.

Nell has been working closely with mentors since May, preparing for this pivotal moment. Speaking about the announcement, she said, “It’s been a whirlwind behind the scenes— balancing creativity, late nights, and a lot of learning— but I am beyond proud to share my passion with the world at Arnotts".

"Being part of The Pitch has been a dream come true. I’m so excited to unveil my exclusive "Love in Flight" robin pressed flower design, created especially for this event.”

Pressed Flowers by Nell specialises in preserving the beauty of nature through handmade, pressed flower artwork.

With a commitment to sustainability and supporting local suppliers, Nell has grown her business on Roches St Limerick from strength to strength and has become known for her intricate designs, including bespoke bridal bouquets, fine art prints, and more.

Her work has won several awards, including Creative Professional of the Year 2023, Wedding Artist of the Year and a place on the KPMG list of 100 women to watch in 2024!

Pitch’24 aims to support and promote the growth of start-ups and small businesses in Ireland. The competition provides participants with invaluable exposure and resources.

Each finalist will receive mentoring and guidance from an expert panel from Brown Thomas and Arnotts Digital, Marketing, Buying and Store retail teams.

Additionally, finalists will benefit from support provided by industry partners: Eversheds Legal who will offer legal advice and support to help navigate the complexities of running a business and BKK Financial Advisors who will provide financial mentorship to assist in strategic planning and growth.

The overall winner will receive a €10,000 business development fund, along with in-store and online placement.

The Arnotts Christmas Market is known for its celebration of handcrafted, locally made products.
