Shannon-based aviation company Six West has appointed a new chief development and strategy officer.
Donal Young joins the company, as the founder of Six West, Jason Williamson predicts the new year is set to be “an exciting time”.
Commenting following the announcement, he said: “We have always had the remit to be the best in our area of aviation, but over the last four years, we have also established ourselves as the biggest global provider of operational services to the leasing business."
Mr Williamson said Mr Young is a “perfect fit” to work alongside Six West’s board to continue its development.

“As a seasoned aviation executive with over 35 years of experience across multiple domains, Donal will help to promote the Six West X factor, propelling our business forward in 2025 and in the years to come,” he said.
Mr Young said of his appointment: “Six West is on the precipice of a major expansion into a number of areas of aviation, including cementing its position as the biggest provider of flight operations solutions to the leasing business and to airlines worldwide. I’m delighted to become part of the team and I’m really excited about the prospect of the planned Six West expansion as both a leader in its established field, and as a market disruptor and innovator in newly identified areas of the aviation industry.”
Six West is the world’s largest provider of operational services to the aircraft leasing and airline industries.
It provides airline start up and restructure advice and operations support to lessors worldwide.
It’s headquartered in Ireland with bases in Shannon and Skibbereen, Co Cork.
