Will Cillian Murphy win an Oscar? Here is how Irish viewers can watch the ceremony

The 96th ceremony of The Oscars will take place in a couple of hours, as Cillian Murphy is expected to be the favourite for Best Actor.

The ceremony will kick off at 4pm California time, which means it will start at 11pm Irish time.

ITV will be broadcasting the Oscars live, and an edited version of the ceremony will be available for views on RTE Two and RTE Player tomorrow at 9.35pm.

You can also follow up with the nominees as The Academy will be sharing live updates on X, formerly known as Twitter.

This year, Ireland will be greatly represented as Cillian Murphy is expected to win Best Actor for his performance in Oppenheimer.

Although, Cillian is up against Bradley Cooper, Colman Domingo, Paul Giamatti and Jeffrey Wright.

The Cork actor was spotted boarding an Aer Lingus flight to LA earlier this week with his son and aspiring actor, Aran.

Dublin company Element Pictures will also be in California, as well as cast and crew of Poor Things.
