Vehicle seized after louth driver falsely told gardaí they were booked for NCT

Gardaí in Drogheda seized a vehicle after discovering a driver with no tax and insurance.

Sharing the post to X, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Our Roads Policing Unit in Drogheda were on patrol last night when they flagged this car for having no tax, insurance or NCT."

"The driver claimed to be booked in for the NCT the next day, but our checks showed they weren't booked in for a test at all.

"The vehicle was seized."
