The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued an urgent warning to consumers not to eat any Toofy Duck products as they may have been produced in an "unapproved" facility.
In a notice, published this Thursday, the FSAI says the country of origin is not known and that it's also not known where the products were manufactured.
Additionally, the notice states the products may have been produced in a premises "which is not subject to official controls" and they are not labelled in English, which is a legal requirement.
The recall applies to all Toofy Duck products including: Toofy Duck Braised Duck Heads, Toofy Duck Braised Duck Necks, Toofy Duck Braised Duck Wings, Toofy Duck Braised Duck Feet, Toofy Duck Braised Chicken Feet.
Retailers have been requested to remove the implicated products from sale and to display recall notices at all point-of-sale.
Additionally, wholesalers and distributors are requested to contact their affected customers and recall these products and provide a point-of-sale recall notice to their retailer customers.
The FSAI says food businesses that received the affected products are requested to inform their inspector of their supplier details.
The advice to consumers is that they should not eat the implicated products.
