Tributes paid to pregnant woman, 28, killed in car crash

The fatal collision claimed the life of a woman who was six months pregnant
A 28-year-old woman, who was six months pregnant, has passed away as a result of a road traffic collision.
Three pedestrians and a driver were involved in the fatal crash in Co Fermanagh on Monday, February 19. At around 8pm, emergency services attended the scene on the Boa Island Road, near Belleek.
Valeria Amorim was pronounced dead at the scene. She was Brazillian and living in the area.
A woman in her 30s has since been arrested in relation to the incident and remains in custody, police have confirmed.
The PSNI are appealing to people who may have witnessed the fatal collision to come forward, or those who may have dash-cam footage to contact them, saying: "Following the tragic death of Valeria and her unborn child, the Police Service's Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for information and witnesses.
"Anyone with any dash-cam or other footage that could assist with the investigation is asked to contact detectives from the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference 1723 of 19/02/24."
Tributes have since came in from far and wide including Ulster Unionist Party’s Mark Ovens, who said the death has widely impacted the whole community where she lived.
"My heart goes out to all the family and friends of Valeria. Every death on our roads is a tragedy, but the loss of a young mum and her unborn child in such horrific circumstances is particularly heart-breaking.
"Belleek is a small and quiet village, located right on the border with Donegal. Incidents like this don't happen very often, but when they do the whole community is left numb."
The Northern Ireland Life After Bereavement charity also paid tribute to Ms Amorim online, saying: "We are saddened to hear of the passing of pedestrian Valeria Amorim.
"Could everyone please keep the Amorim family in your thoughts and prayers as they come to terms with this traumatic event.
"We at Life After offer our deepest sympathies to Valeria’s family and wish them Gods richest blessings in the days and months ahead with the reassurance that we are there to provide support and assistance if or when required."
