'Toxic, choking and strangulation' - Major retailer recalls several products as serious alert issued
Customers are advised to stop using the affected products immediately
An urgent recall has been issued for consumers in Ireland for several products from a very popular online retailer amid fears of chemical reactions, choking and strangulation.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has alerted the public that TheKiddoSpace, an online retailer based in the UK, issued the recalls on Wednesday after the dangers were identified.
The products recalled are:
- TheKiddoSpace Finger Painting Kit for Kids
- TheKiddoSpace Sensory Swing for Kids
- TheKiddoSpace Peg Dolls in Cups
- TheKiddoSpace Reusable Magnetic Water Balloons
- TheKiddoSpace Montessori Story Book
There are over 300 affected products in Ireland.

What to do
Customers are advised to stop using the product immediately and dispose of it safely. Once disposed of, please contact TheKiddoSpace to receive either a full refund of your original purchase or a voucher of equal value to use on their online store.
