Sophie Toscan du Plantier's son confirmed as guest on tonight's RTÉ Late Late Show

Son of murdered French filmmaker to appear on Late Late Show following death of Ian Bailey
The son of Sophie Toscan du Plantier will be a guest on this Friday's Late Late Show.
Pierre-Louis Baudey-Vignaud will appear on the RTÉ show following the death of chief suspect in his mother's murder case, Ian Bailey.
Posting the news to the RTÉ Late Late Show Instagram, host Patrick Kielty said they would be discussing "what the death of Ian Bailey means for his mother's case, and why he is ready to now close that chapter in his life."
Pierre-Louis was just 15 years old when his mother, a 39-year-old French film producer, was found murdered outside her west Cork home in December 1996.
This will be his first live interview since the death of Ian Bailey, who died suddenly from a heart attack on January 21, 2024.
Originally from Britain, he was arrested and questioned in relation to Ms du Plantier's murder but was never charged, and was never extradited to France despite a campaign by her family and a conviction in absentia by a French court in 2019.
In the days after his death, gardaí investigating the murder of Ms du Plantier conducted a search of a flat rented by Mr Bailey and seized digital devices and a large quantity of paperwork.
The Late Late Show airs on RTE One television at 9.35pm this Friday night, February 2.
