The 'Dublin Wives' star passed away aged 51 after battling cancer

Tributes have poured in for TV star Lisa Murphy who passed away yesterday after battling with cancer.

The former model, 51, silently battled with cancer over the last few years.

The Ballinteer native (Dublin) appeared on the TV reality show, Dublin Housewives, which was broadcasted in 2012.

Since the tragic news broke, tributes have been pouring in.

"I’m so sad to hear of the passing of Lisa Murphy. I met her many times, and we couldn’t have been more different but I liked her so much. There’s lots I’d like to say, but now doesn’t feel like the time. All I will say is she was worth far more than how she was often treated," wrote writer Maia Dunphy.

"RIP to this beautiful human being Lisa Murphy. Always a wonderful ray of positivity & hope; always a gorgeous smile & a warm word for everyone & always with a cheeky glint in her eye through her fabulous flare for fashion. You will be missed by many x," wrote Irish broadcaster Deric Ó h'Artagáin in tribute.

Dancing With The Stars' Rosanna Davis told the Irish Mirror: "I’m really sad to hear her passing. I was shocked to see the news today. Lisa was always really kind, bubbly, and fun. A really sweet woman. I had great conversations and chats with her over the years.

"We talked a bit about surrogacy and fertility before I had Sophia and she was just a really kind, genuine person. I think a lot of people are devastated to hear of her shock and her passing. Lisa definitely made an impact on a lot of people’s lives. I’m really thinking of her friends and family and all the people who loved her. It’s definitely a sad day for her friends and family."
