RIP: Garda search for missing 64-year-old man stood man after discovery of body

The Garda appeal to the public to help locate Patrick Mulligan was launched on Sunday
Gardaí have thanked the public for their help and stood down a search for a 64-year-old man after the discovery of a body in Dublin.
Patrick Mulligan had been reported missing on Sunday after being last seen at his home in Ballyboden, Co Dublin that morning.
On Tuesday, gardaí said that "following the discovery of a body of male in the Rathfarnham area, the missing person appeal in respect of 64-year-old Patrick Mulligan, who was missing from Ballyboden, Dublin 16 has now been stood down."
"No further media action is required and no further information is available at this time.
"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance," their statement concluded.
