Over €400k in drugs sniffed out at Dublin Airport

DRUGS WITH a value of €40,000 were seized in a joint operation between Gardaí and Revenue at Dublin Airport last weekend.
An Garda Síochána provided assistance in the seizure of approximately 22.5kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €450,000 at Dublin Airport on Friday September 22.
The illicit drugs were discovered when Revenue's detector dog, Blue, stopped and searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Los Angeles.
A woman in her 30s was arrested and taken to a Garda station in Dublin, where she was detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
