Emma Flanagan has to use a wheelchair following the crash

Over 100k have been raised for a teenage girl after she sustained 'life-changing' injuries from a horror crash.

Emma Flanagan from Cortown, Kells, Co Meath, was coming home from school on May 3, when the crash occurred. She suffered severe injuries to her spine, and spent weeks in the Spinal Injuries Unit in the Mater Hospital.

The teen is now in The National Rehabilitation Hospital, Dún Laoghaire - her "last stop" before going home.

As significant adaptations are required for her house before she gets home, her friends and family have rallied to raise money so Emma's home can be wheelchair-accessible.

They set up a GoFundMe campaign and have raised €112,222. You can donate to the fundraiser here.

"Emma has shown amazing courage and bravery in her journey so far. The next big milestone is to get Emma home and this is where we need your help! Significant adaptations to Emma's house are required before she can get home.

"All monies received will go towards home adaptations for wheelchair accessibility and future needs and expenses for Emma," read a note on the fundraiser page.
