Man seriously injured following Dublin city centre assault

A man has been seriously injured after an assault in Dublin City.

Gardai are investigating the attack which occurred on Wexford Street during the early hours of Saturday morning.

A man aged in his early 20s is receiving treatment for serious injuries at Beaumont Hospital.

The scene of the incident has been examined by a local scenes of crime unit. No arrests have been made.
