Man, 40s, to appear in court after gun and ammunition seizure

A man in his 40s, who was arrested following the seizure of a firearm in Dublin 11 has been released and subsequently charged.
During the course of a search this Saturday, a Makarov semi-automatic firearm was seized by Gardaí, along with 13 rounds of ammunition and a silencer.
He is said to have been released from the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939.
The man is now scheduled to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Court number 2, this Monday morning, February 5, at 10:30am.
Investigations are ongoing.
