Man, 30s, charged after cannabis worth €200,000 seized

A man has been charged after €200,000 worth of cannabis were seized in Co Monaghan.
Aged in his 30s, the man was arrested yesterday, following a joint operation between the An Garda Síochána and Revenue Customs Service in Co Monaghan.
He is due to appear before Cavan District Court this morning at 10.30 am.
The intelligence-led operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 9.7kg of herbal cannabis.
The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation involving Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Louth Cavan Monaghan Crime Hub.
Investigations are ongoing.
