ONE Limerick boy got a special visit from garadí this week.

Gardaí at Mayorstone garda station, Limerick made a very special visit to Little Blue Hero, Lucas Postovan on Tuesday, October 10 to present him with his new honorary garda uniform.

Little Blue Heroes Foundation was established in 2017 and is a not-for-profit registered charity voluntarily led by garda members, retired garda members and civic minded people from communities.

The charity's vision is to support families of children with serious illnesses in Ireland while empowering the lives of children through positive community engagement.

One of the services the charity provides is 'Honorary Gardaí' which grant the wish of the children they support to become Honorary Gardaí and provide Garda themed distraction toys and children’s events for their Little Blue Heroes.

He was very excited about his new uniform and especially the blue lights and police siren. Lucas looks really awesome in blue. God bless you all.”

The Little Blue Heros said; “Welcome Honorary Garda Lucas to the team and we are  delighted you got to meet your garda buddies from the Garda Síochána - Cork, Kerry & Limerick - Southern Region. We cannot wait to see you out on the beat soon.”
