IRELAND’S leading family music and arts festival Kaleidoscope will offer a cashless festival experience to all attendees this summer on the grounds of Russborough House, Blessington, Co Wicklow June 30 – July 2.

Festival wristbands will contain a secure RFID chip, which can be topped up in advance, on site and on mobile. The wristbands can be used across the festival site to pay for food, drinks, merchandise and funfair rides. No cash will be accepted at the festival.

To use AIB TAPPY,  attendees must register for a secure cashless account before the event and set up a cashless account, which can be linked to a Kaleidoscope ticket on the festival website. Accounts can be topped up pre-event and upon arrival, festival wristbands will be paired with accounts and  preloaded money will be transferred for a €1 activation fee.

Attendees can tap their wristband to pay for drinks, food and merchandise, and they can be topped up throughout the weekend.

Wristbands can be topped up throughout the weekend on site at the AIB TAPPY bank, or from a mobile phone at an AIB TAPPY Tower. For any queries or issues on the weekend of the festival there’s a dedicated support email set up to help: [email protected].

After the event, attendees can request a refund for any unspent money. The refund window will open from 9am Tuesday July 4 until midnight Monday July 24.placeholder image

Kaleidoscope organisers want to make every effort to ensure an easy, efficient experience for everyone over the festival weekend. Kaleidoscope families had the option to sign-up for an AIB TAPPY wristband at the first festival in 2019, and there was much feedback from families who missed the convenience and fun of it in 2022, so Kaleidoscope are delighted to bring AIB TAPPY back by popular demand.

Replacing the standard festival entry wristbands with the AIB TAPPY wristbands that are ready to go if desired in 2023 cuts down on the number of wristbands printed and makes it even easier for Kaleidoscope families to use AIB TAPPY this year.

AIB TAPPY brings a little ‘edutainment’ to proceedings as the wristbands are child-friendly and are a great way to give them the independence over managing their own funds for the weekend, knowing that there won’t be any tears over misplaced cash.

Admission to the festival includes camping, parking, a wide array of creative programme activities from science demos to art workshops plus a stellar music line-up including Nile Rodgers & CHIC, B*Witched, Gavin James, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Newton Faulkner, Róisín O, King Kong Company, the Dublin Gospel Choir, Cairde, Paper Tides, Bruising Shins and much more!
