'Jaysus lads': US media prompts outrage in Ireland after Barry Keoghan post

Irish social media users were outraged after comments made by US media about Barry Keoghan's Met Gala appearance.
Barry Keoghan attended the Met Gala, themed after JG Ballard's 1962 short story, Garden of Time.
Alongside a picture of The Saltburn actor on the red carpet, US media Vulture, posted: "Hello little lassie, couldja point me in da direction of me missus? She's got a grand "me espresso" at home that i better be drinkin'".
A post which caused outraged on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"I mean I don't usually take offence at this sort of stuff but good lord," said someone in reply."
Another user said: "I'm trying to think, if the person in the picture was from any other place or culture, would you lay as thick into the stereotypes? Or would you think "actually no, that would be incredibly poor taste..."
