A deceased man has been found dead after six months in his apartment, with gardaí now ruling out foul play.
The body of Mark Watters, 61, was found dead in the hallway of his flat at the Courtyard, Castletownbere, West Cork this Tuesday, May 7.

It is reported that gardaí found an unopened Christmas card with a December 18 date stamp in Mr Watters flat, suggesting that he may have died some time in December 2023.
Mr Watters’ body was removed to Cork University Hospital for an autopsy. It is hoped this may be able to determine a cause of death and provide a definitive timeline for the investigation.
