Ireland's least appealing accent revealed
Limerick, Mayo and Westmeath named among the least admirable
Have you ever wondered what Ireland's favourite accent is? Well the wait is finally over as new research shows which of the counties has the best and worst accents.
A survey by data platform Alt Index, Ireland’s favourite accent is Dublin while Limerick, Mayo and Westmeath named the least admirable.
In Dublin, 35% of people crown it the favourite while 28% voted for Donegal and 21% for Cork.
Mayo received 7% of votes, Westmeath received 6% and Limerick scored 3% which made it the least favourite accent.
Limerick may have won four in-a-row but it looks like it won't be wining the sound of the nation anytime soon!
