Gardaí seize taxi in Blanchardstown as tax is out of date for months

Gardaí have seized a taxi and issued a fine to the driver after it was brought to the attention of Blanchardstown Garda Station.
The Blanchardstown Roads Policing Unit stopped the taxi as the tax expired since February.
The cab had been operating for months without an area sign also.
The National Transport Authority states that a taxi ‘must have a roof sign in place when operating a taxi and must remove it when the vehicle is in a public area and not being operated as a taxi.’
