Gardaí seize speeding car from uninsured driver on busy motorway

Gardaí from the DMR South RPU detected a car travelling 142km/h in a 100km/h zone on the M50 Northbound on Sunday morning.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the driver also lacked insurance and a valid National Car Test (NCT) certificate.

Taking swift action, Gardaí seized the vehicle, and "prosecutions have commenced", say An Garda Síochána.

Gardaí remain vigilant in their efforts to maintain road safety this bank holiday, and urge all motorists to drive responsibly.
