Gardaí seize 'dangerously defective' vehicle after discovering over two years of unpaid tax

Illegal modifications prompted gardaí to impound the car
In a recent operation, gardaí intercepted a vehicle that had not paid its tax and had unautorised modifications.
In a routine traffic stop, the Delvin Roads Policing Unit discovered the car to have been untaxed for a massive 841 days.
The stop then escalated when gardaí found the vehicle to be "dangerously defective with a number of illegal modifications."
As a result, the policing unit promptly seized the car.
The driver of the seized car will face legal consequences, with court to follow.
