Gardaí make money laundering arrest following seizure of €80,000 and foreign currencies

Gardaí have seized over €80,000 in cash following a search of a residence earlier this Wednesday morning.

As a result, a man in his 50s has been arrested for money laundering offences and is currently detained at a Garda station in the Dublin area.

The search of the Blanchardstown residence was conducted by the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) with assistance provided by the Detective Units in Blanchardstown and Finglas garda stations.

Over €80,000 in cash was seized alongside small sums of Albanian Lek and British pounds.
