Dublin family hopes to give their ‘little girl a chance’ after rare diagnosis

Evie Nolan was diagnosed with a CASK-related disability
A Dublin family has appealed for help, so their daughter can receive intensive therapies.
Evie Nolan, aged five, was diagnosed at five months old with a rare condition called MICPCH, a CASK-related intellectual disability, micro chromosome deletion on the CASK gene.
“When Evie received her diagnosis at five months old we were told Evie would never walk, talk or even sit unattended, Evie is fighting daily to prove some of this to be wrong,” said Evie’s mother, Emma.
Emma said that intensive therapies have been the most impactful regarding growing Evie’s cognitive and physical skills.
“Evie is lucky enough to have been accepted to Napa Boston (June) and Napa London (Oct/Nov) both been a three-week intensive program and both come at a huge cost, Evie will partake in multiple daily sessions of Physiotherapy, DMI therapy Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language therapies,” she added.
According to her mother, Evie will benefit massively from these intensive therapies.
“Please help give our little girl a chance at reaching her goals and continue to help us access all the private therapies she deserves. Thank you for coming along on this journey, it means the world to us,” she said.
