DUBLIN AIRPORT have announced plans to improve viewing facilities for plane spotters.

The airport shared an artist impression on their official X(formerly known as Twitter) account of what the proposed facilities might look like.

"Dublin Airport is currently exploring potential options to improve viewing options for plane spotters around the airport. Here's one mock-up of what such a facility could look like. Would you use it?" the caption reads.

The responses to the proposal has been overwhelming positive in replies to the post, with many enthusiastic plane spotters offering their input on what such facilities should provide at Dublin Airport.

"Need to put some creature comforts in there like free Wi-Fi, a decent cafe, arrival/ departure screens, wind break/ sun screens, comfortable seating, toilets, free parking up to 4 hours, return prohibited within 12 hours, elevated viewing above the passing vehicles, for starters," requested one X user in their reply.

"So long as it’s on the south fence adjacent to 28L…. The angle of the sun for the vast majority of the year makes photography and viewing difficult from the north looking south towards 28R," another said, one of a number suggesting viewing facilities be north-facing.

No timeline has been given yet by the airport for when these viewing facilities will be constructed.
