Cool temperatures 'stubborn' to move with 'chilly' conditions set to continue

Hopes that it will 'slowly warm up' for the remainder of June have been expressed
With June so far seeing below average temperatures typical for this time of year, the cool temperatures remain 'stubborn' to move.
While more settled weather is on the way for the middle of the month, Met Éireann continue to report 'chilly' air at times.
It is expected to 'slowly warm up', as there is a signal for high pressure to be positioned close to Ireland during the middle days of June. However, temperatures look set to be near or slightly below average, with some chilly nights possible.
Rainfall is forecast to be 'below normal' nationwide.
