Car with no insurance was found to have no tax for four years

Gardaí stopped a car at a checkpoint recently and found that a car which had no insurance, hadn't been taxed in almost four years.

"We carried out checkpoints in Bray recently where we stopped this car," a garda social media post outlined.

"It was found to have no insurance, NCT, no tax for 1436 days and no licence!" gardaí said.

"The car was seized and proceedings are to follow," the social media post added.

Gardaí have urged road users to exercise caution, particularly after three road fatalities at the weekend which claimed the lives of a pedestrian, motorcyclist and a single-vehicle driver.
