Car to go to crusher after driver tells gardaí he 'won't pay for insurance'

Gardaí in Kilkenny have seized a vehicle after it was discovered that it had no insurance.
Gardaí said that when they asked the driver for proof of insurance, the man responded: "I won't pay for insurance."
The car was then seized under Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act and the driver will be required to appear in court.
Gardaí have warned that if the car is "not reclaimed and removed by towtruck, it will go to the crusher and the steel recycled into anything from a bicycle to a biscuit tin, neither of which you require insurance for."
