Two popular retailers are recalling a faulty home product sold in Ireland due to a risk of electric shock and fire.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), TK Maxx and Homesense has issued a recall for the Brookstone Beverage Warmer because of the product's inadequate insulation, which could cause metal components to become live.

The product's poor construction - which could result in the base of the product melting - reportedly presents a risk of fire and damage to property.

Almost 1,000 affected products (model number is DX-8012) were sold in stores in Ireland between November and December 2023. placeholder image
