AN AER Lingus flight from Bristol to Cork was diverted by 350km due to the chaos caused by Storm Fergus.

The flight EI3843 from Bristol to Cork Airport was forced to be diverted and landed in a different country as a result of weather conditions.

After what appeared to be a failed landing and being diverted from Cork to Dublin, the plane was forced to make its way to the Belfast International Airport - over 350km away from its original destination.

It is understood the flights scheduled to land in Cork during the Status Yellow Wind Warning had trouble landing because of strong crosswinds over the county.
