21-year-old charged with damage to Kerry direct provision centre

Gardaí are investigating the alleged criminal damage of a direct provision centre in Killarney, County Kerry.
The centre opened in November 2023 and the alleged incident took place on January 1, 2024.
Gardaí arrested a man yesterday, Tuesday 6th February 2024.
The male (aged in his 20s) was arrested yesterday evening and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a garda station in County Kerry.
He has since been charged and is due to appear before Tralee District Court this morning, Wednesday February 7, at 10.30am.
