Former pupils and parents from a number of Ennis schools are among many who have paid tribute to their former school traffic warden, the late Carmel Queally.
Ms Queally was a recognisable and beloved figure in the town for many years as the school traffic warden at Ennis NS, where she worked alongside her sister Pauline.
She passed away peacefully at Milford Care Centre, surrounded by her loving family.
"For so many years she took great care of our children attending the old National school, and always did it with a smile on her face. All the children rightly adored her," one condolence from a former parent on Rip.ie read.
"Any time you met Carmel she had a welcoming greeting, with a smile for all. Many of the students of Ennis National and St. Flannan’s College will remember her with kindness.
"During her working career as a lollipop lady at Ennis N.S. she was totally dependable appearing in all weather for work and mindful for the safety of the children. May she rest in peace," read another.
Ennis National School also posted a fond tribute on social media, saying their "thoughts are with the family and friends of Carmel Queally as she passed away peacefully on Monday."
"Carmel was the traffic crossing person for Ennis NS along with her sister, Pauline for years. She always had a friendly smile and comment for the children. May she Rest In Peace," it read.

She will be sadly missed by her sisters Mary and Ann, brother-in-law Martin, sisters-in-law Kay and Margaret, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, relatives , neighbours and friends.
